Embrace The Power of Resilience

Life is like a wave, with alternating crests and troughs. There is no such thing as an ideally happy life. A rich man is just a poor man with money. Everyone, irrespective of their social or financial stature, has to undergo an assortment of experiences in life. But all these experiences are useful as we can never understand how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have.

The circumstances in life can change dramatically at any moment. Resilience is the capacity of a person to maintain his core purpose and integrity even under these severe circumstances.

The situation in front of us can be purely personal, purely professional, or an amalgamation of both. We must nurture our spirit to be stronger in the face of challenges. Being resilient makes us stronger and prepares us to be ready for the experiences in life.

Choose calmness:

If you choose tranquility as a way of life, it will always help you stay composed even under the worst situations in life. The first person to convince is your inner self. If you lose control over your mind, you will never be able to overcome the difficulties in life.

But don’t confuse resilience with numbness. Resilience is when you accept that you have fallen, you are hurt, and you have failed, but you keep on going. The “Never say Never” attitude is the core of the concept of resilience.

Keep everything together:

Learn to look at the brighter side of things. Straight roads never make skilful drivers. Difficulties in life are a way of god to polish you. Have faith in yourself; faith can move the mountains that are created by doubt. True strength is keeping everything together when everyone would expect you to fall apart. Always remember that Diamond is just a piece of charcoal that handled stress exceptionally well.

Never quit; learn to bounce back:

If you are persistent enough to be immovable, no matter the situations in life, you will overcome all hurdles. The fire inside you should burn brighter than the fire around you. If all you can do is crawl, start crawling. You will not be at your destination immediately, but you’ll be closer to it than you were yesterday.

A man’s success isn’t measured by how high he can climb but by how high he can bounce back after he has hit the bottom. Learn to pick yourselves up. Never give up on your moral values that guide you through life. Believe that you have a purpose and that everything happens for a reason.

If you hold on to your values and dignity, even if you lose, you’ll never be defeated because your soul will be intact.

Be brave – this too shall pass:

Time heals all. Stop turning on your emotional television to watch the same episode again and again. Life is a pilgrimage. You must be brave. Brave to write, brave to love, brave to face criticism, and brave to live your life according to your rules. Don’t transform your unhappiness into aggressiveness. Surround yourself with love and let love do the healing.

Remember that life never gets easy or forgiving. It is you who has to become stronger and resilient. Make the choice, take the chance, and let your passion drive you. There is always a crest to welcome, no matter how low the trough has been.
